According to Roger Showley of the Union Tribune, San Diego County led the nation in rising home values in March even though prices nationwide dropped 3.8%, according to a report released today on Zillow.com. San Diego rose 3.7% to $364,800 compared with March of 2009. Last month, San Diego was ranked second in resale home appreciation among 20 major metro areas. Its overall median price was up 15.8% from last year. Although home values could fall again, it is more likely, given the current conditions, they will remain above their lowest level reached last year and San Diego will stabilize.
